Liano Amato
Pizza, projects, and free time.
Introduction
I am Liano Amato. I believe in caring for details, in craft, and in the time dedicated to things that matter: a handmade pizza, a well-designed project, an afternoon off the beaten path.
This site gathers fragments of my journey: the passion for dough, the precision of daily work, and the small adventures of free time.
My hobby
The art of pizza and leavened breads
The True Neapolitan
Long-fermented dough, a high and soft crust, simple and decisive ingredients. Three interpretations of a tradition that tells the South through taste.

Roman Sheet Pizzas
Marked honeycomb, crispy crust and lots of air inside. A different format to tell the same love for leavening.

Apulian Focaccias
Oil, salt, oregano and the sweetness of well-leavened dough. A soft embrace from Puglia.

The Tradition
Neapolitan pastries and savory pies: the soft Babà in its syrup and the rich-flavored Tortano. A celebration of a land that never stops inspiring me.

Free time
Off the beaten path
The passions that fill my free time move along an invisible thread that joins the patience of waiting to the rush of adrenaline, the precision of science to the warmth of human emotions. There is a deep beauty in knowing how to observe details, whether calculating the timing of a dough or following a millimeter-perfect trajectory on the track.
The kitchen is for me a laboratory of study and experimentation tied to the world of leavened goods. I am fascinated by the management of flours and the technical challenge of high hydration, where water and time transform simple ingredients into perfect bread and pizza. This dedication to precision and care for details is perfectly reflected in my Commodore collection. I dedicate time and passion to the computer technology of the past and to retrocomputing, focusing on the restoration and preservation of vintage hardware from the '80s and '90s. Bringing historical machines such as the Commodore 64 or the Amiga back to life means preserving the roots of the digital era, when computing was made of essential circuits, command lines and pure software genius.
Next to reflection and study, there is sport to give rhythm and adrenaline to my days. My heart has always beaten for the blue colors of Napoli Calcio, a football faith lived intensely. The same passion connects me to modern tennis, a sport of mind and precision that I follow today with great enthusiasm thanks to the feats and crystalline talent of Jannik Sinner. Finally, there cannot be missing the pure speed of Formula 1: the eternal myth of Ferrari and the emotion of seeing the future of motorsport run on the wheels of young talents like Kimi Antonelli.
This is my world: a crossroads of stories, engines, vintage technology and the scent of good food, to be lived intensely one day at a time.

My passion for film photography comes from long ago, born when I was young and tied to the value of the single frame. Shooting in analog means for me choosing to slow down, giving every image the right time before pressing the shutter.
The heart of this journey lies in the darkroom. Spending hours developing and manually printing in black and white is a ritual made of precise gestures, where the image slowly takes shape between the chemical liquids. It is a magical, almost alchemical process, where time seems to stop.
Today this deep love has found a new life. I have passed this passion on to our daughter Serena, turning photography into a special bond. Sharing with her the wait of the development and the wonder before a black and white print is my greatest satisfaction. Seeing her eyes look at the world through a film means knowing that this magic continues.
